Back in high school, Walmart was my first 'real' job that didn’t involve neighborhood yard work or odd chores. When raise time came around, it was clear—whether you worked like a machine or coasted along, everyone got nearly the same wage increase. Sure, you couldn’t slack too much without consequences, but putting in extra effort? Total waste of energy. I also learned those wage increases were mostly tied to inflation, not true effort.

You repeatedly stated we need more "common sense policies." I'm not asking for a detailed Congressional report, but it would be nice if you offered a bit more detail on what your idea of "common sense policies" are. Complaining without offering what you think are solutions is tiresome.

@georgedoolittle7574 Trying to think of ahem "mom and pop retail in Florida" I'm sure if you look back before the 80's, it was very feasible to find excellent mom and pop retail locations that covered important niches bigger retail outlets like Sears wouldn't bother with. But nowadays? Are they really needed? What could they offer other than more personal service? Are working people going to pay 20% more for something to get that type of service? Economies of scale and fast delivery times made most mom and pops irrelevant.

So a lack of infrastructure is making people NOT want an electric car, but you are making it look like electric cars are garbage? Here's an idea... go to a simple internet search on all the benefits electric cars (not hybrids) offer over gas powered vehicles. One of the main ones is upkeep costs. Much fewer parts in an electric vehicle.
