Ever since the bolsheviks were kicked out of Russia in the 1990s, which abruptly halted their carpetbagging and resource theft there, they have been wanting to exact revenge on the people that interrupted their gravy train. So, 1917 comes to mind as once again they try to seize control of Russia to subjugate them, not appreciating that over 100 years have passed since then and Russia and the world is a very different place. India and China are very different countries now, as are the continents of Africa and South America, with Asia also making an impression. As the oracles of Delphi foretold on the eve of a huge battle in the middle ages, 'a great power will fail at the end of this confrontation' (not sure which battle and paraphrased) resulting in the complete failure and gutting of America as per plan, very much to the detriment of the American people.
