It is interesting that the US based Rand Report on this whole thing talked about the EU being degraded for their benefit to mainly suck up the dollars when the euro collapses along with the reduction of Germany's industrial capacity. This appears to be based on the assumption that Russia would fail/collapse and the dollar and yuan would be the only viable currencies and ignored the scenario where the rouble would be so influential with BRICS. With Russia essentially being unaffected by this conflict, and in fact strengthening and gaining influence, when Europe essentially shuts up shop and has expended their military resouces in Ukraine, the US will have a toothless vassal incapable of being of any value in a conflict with Russia and with broken local currencies uninterested in the dollar. Not only that, when European citizenry discover how they have been used and right royally shafted by the US, they will potentially have implacable foes on their hands. I wonder if someone raised that with them?
