  1. ​ @007Mugs  Who said that they were going to have a winter offensive, you? The Russians certainly didn't. In spite of that with little more than shovels, they have successfully taken Bakhmut, stopping the random shelling of civilians from that city, and in the process virtually destroyed the Ukrainian army. That could legitimately be called a successful Winter Campaign.

  2. Think about it, one is valuable and the other expendable, if the former was lost it would have a negative outcome, the latter being an irrelevant speck.
