If the people of the West sincerely support the equal rights of human beings @simonclark8290 What really annoys me is that these emmission figures are never tied to consumption per capita but a countries gross emissions. China manufactures for the rest of the world so it's emmissions will be much higher than most. The USA not only manufactures on a huge scale for internal and external markets it also consumes more per person than almost any other country in the world with a population only 20% the size of China. If you judge emissions by the consumption of an individual in a given population then you'll get a much more accurate picture of which group of people is really responsible for most of the worlds emissions.
