What can you tell us about the problems Toyota is having with the new 4 Runner blower motors? I understand there is a service bulletin about it.

So a dealer will not service the transmission because the manual says you don't have to? In that case you have to go to an outside trans. shop,

@TheCarCareNut Yeah, made in Mexico, what the hell is Toyota thinking? Trying to cut corners and mess with one of their most reliable vehicles. Unacceptable as a long time Toyota owner,

@glennnichols4220 You know how Toyota build its reputation? They made everything themselves, all the major components were built by their own factories or by first tier suppliers. I guess that now, lowest bidder gets the contract. My 1998 Corolla, 400k plus miles had original blower motor.

@glennnichols4220 in the low 30's mostly suburban traffic, 3 speed transmission which was horrible on the highway, but it never failed me in 18 yrs and 425k miles.

@glennnichols4220 A co-workers newer Corolla was falling apart even though it had less than 200k miles, I could tell the quality was not the same as my 98, BTW built in Fremont where they now build the Tesla

@glennnichols4220 My current car, a Yaris, was built in Japan till about 2013, after that, France. No thanks. Just as I would not buy a late model Yaris cause it's just a re-badged Mazda 2 built in Mexico.

@glennnichols4220 Not even the Lexus LS is as good as the previous gen. Re the mazda 2, if I wanted a Mazda, I'd go to the Mazda dealer. I think Toyota selling other cars as their own is a mistake, but as you stated before, it's all about the profits.

@glennnichols4220 Well, they did an amazing job with the Prius, a very complicated car to build, it's one of the most reliable cars according to CR year after year, yet the Honda Insight hybrid was junk compared to the Prius.
