Starfleet Battles, BattleTech, AD&D Battlesystem, homemade horse and musket combat rules, so many awesome tabletop wargames in the 80s and 90s.

Romulan Ale is only for medicinal purposes. Honest.

Scotty, the most badass Trek character ever. Kicks the crap out of Klingons in bar fights and fixes warp drives in impossible situations, all while holding his own against the Russian kid in a drinking context and telling ambassadors to go f*** themselves. Legend has it that Klingon's broken jaw still gets sore to this day whenever the temperature changes.

I love Starfleet Battles! Used to play it all the time growing up. Still have my box set from the 80s. Not mentioned in this video is that according to the notes in the manual, the missile weapons which all the aft-facing phasers are to defend against are mainly from the Kzin navy. The game designers couldn't understand why Klingon warships would have so many aft-facing weapons as shown in the Star Trek blueprints (stuff that was cool to have in the 70s and 80s for nerds like us), so they figured they might be defenses against some kind of missile weapons. But who is firing these missiles? Well, Larry Niven had written an episode for Star Trek The Animated Series which included his own popular Kzin feline humanoid aliens, and since animated Star Trek is considered by many fans to be Trek canon, the game designers decided that there is an entire Kzinti empire out there with a large space navy, their ships armed with guided "drone missiles" analogous to today's guided air-to-air missiles or anti-ship missiles. The Kzin even have space carriers with fighter craft equipped with more drone missiles. And of course, the Kzin and Klingons absolutely hate each other's guts. Aft-bearing weapons problem sorted!
