  2. I like those small gunboats. Basically floating tanks. Seems like a very army way of looking at boats.

  3. Brings up another historical "what if" question: What if Japan had stuck mainly to mainland expansion and decided against attacking US or British territories? No war with America or British Empire, at least not until later, at least? Post-war survival of the Japanese militaristic government? A totally different map of China? Japan needed raw materials, which was why it invaded some of the places it did, but maybe they could've gotten by some other way?
