  3. Having a passing interest in etymology I happened to look up the word bloke, where I discovered that it was used by WW1 Royal Navy crews in reference to the ships captain, though with a capital B. The Bloke. I wondered if you had ever come across such a reference to RN WW1 captains

  4.  @Phaaschh  we should have gotten together. I built the Airfix Swordfish. We could have set something up with some hooks and some cord to recreate the fateful attack which jammed the steering 👍
