  1.  @jeannebouwman1970  Single round voting with ranked choice is better than a 2 round voting system. For example with ranked choice voting Melenchon could have won this first round, while now not even making a chance anymore. 2 rounds with the first one using ranked choice voting for the first one might be the best overall, since it would allow the two candidates left to square of in for example a debate etc, but you'd also be certain that you get the 2 most supported candidates in that second round.
