If the American people are generally Christians then the government follows. The further the general population of the USA gets away from Jesus Christ, the worse this country will get. The core of the problem isn't the government getting away from God, it's that the average citizens have. Nobody wants a theocracy because that would be a horrible thing. Religious beliefs should be personal decisions, not forced on people. But in the past this country was a Christian nation because most people who came here were believers or became believers in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. That's why people didn't throw a fit when they added God into a lot of things related to this country, such as songs, money, the Pledge of Allegiance, etc. etc.

Those words are true and the more debauchery people want to be a part of in the name of freedom, the further from a free country we will be. All you'll have to do is watch. Following immorality leads to being a slave to sin. Following Jesus leads to freedom. The world has everything backwards just like the Bible says.
