Jesus said those commandments because "on these two commandments hang all". Meaning if you're going to do those 2 commandments then you're automatically going to do the others as well.

I don't see this as a big deal. LGBTQAI+++ is being taught in schools. Christianity is not. There are children's Bible books that are age appropriate that they could put in libraries for children. I'm sorry but if the tradeoff for getting rid of inappropriate sexual content is getting rid of the library Bible that more than likely doesn't get read anyway, I don't really see it as a significant win for the left.

And the termination of pregnancy in the Bible isn't termination of pregnancy. It was a way for any Jewish man to know if their wife was cheating or not and she didn't have to pregnant for that to work because it didn't' have anything to do with being pregnant or getting rid of a baby.

That's ok. They can get age-appropriate Bible books. That's why they make Bible's for kids, because there are things in it that aren't for children.

@tschantz - Things in the Old Testament look to the sacrifice Jesus will make on the cross, the gospels look at the life of Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross and the rest of the New Testament look back to the sacrifice Jesus has made on the cross. It's all about Christ Jesus and what He did for the whole world for whoever accepts Him in their hearts.

How do atheists explain female octopus eating the male after mating? Evolution might have considered overpopulation and incorporated killing males after sex.
1
Really? That scarred you for life but violent movies and tv did nothing?
1
Fine since Christianity isn't taught in school anyway but LGBTQAI+++ is.
1
They're not allowed to read from the Bible. They're only allowed to read sexually graphic "educational" books.

His daughters weren't traded to the gang.
1
@marklapworth1436 - Offering didn't do anything for their chances of marriage. The daughters thought they were the only people left and did a horrible thing. The Bible doesn't in any way condone Lot's or his daughters actions, it tells what happened. There are enough children's Bible books that are age appropriate they don't need to read the Bible until their old enough and wouldn't understand it even if they did. Furthermore, Christianity isn't taught in school anyway but LGBTQAI+++ is, so if the trade off for getting rid of inappropriate sexual content is getting rid of the library Bible, I don't really see it as a big deal.
1
@SamLanena - It lets them know that God was destroying wickedness. Just out of curiosity, how does populating the planet with humans start in evolution? Who did the first neanderthal have sex with?
1
@evilfingers4302 - No, they're not shocked. People usually understand age appropriateness.
1
@davidhughes4089 - Because the children's Bible Books don't change things, just makes it age appropriate.
1
@briendoyle3823 - Children's Bibles tell biblical stories in a way that's appropriate for children. Nothing wrong with that at all.
1
@markewing10 - Sure, in the Old Testament. Things don't stay the same in the New Testament.
1
@briendoyle3823 - No, it just tells the stories of the Bible in a way children can understand and is age appropriate.
1
@briendoyle3823 - They're not Bible's, they're children's Bible's.
1
@briendoyle3823 - No, you teach children the stories of the Bible in an age-appropriate way. It isn't a lie or bearing false witness. Do you think children should be taught all there is to know about sex when they're small children and if you don't then you're lying to them and teaching them wrong about sex?
1
@briendoyle3823 - The word of God is followed in Children's Bible books. It's just age appropriate. You don't want to answer my question, fine. Having all those Catholic things doesn't mean anything whatsoever.
1
That's what's really going on. The controlling elite want everyone reading books online so they know what everyone is doing.
1
@tschantz - I think he means that it was the Old Testament word of God written, knowing that Christians who are under the New Testament would be reading it.
1
The Covid vaccine doesn't protect anyone from getting or transmitting it.
1
@jakekelly336 - So you think that's really in the Bible?
1
Am I the only Christian who doesn't see this as a big deal? LGBTQAI+++ is being taught in schools. Christianity is not. There are children's Bible books that are age appropriate that they could put in libraries for children. I'm sorry but if the tradeoff for getting rid of inappropriate sexual content is getting rid of the library Bible, I don't really see it as a big deal.
1
@brushe8025 - Sex isn't love. Letting people know that they need to turn to Jesus and turn away from their life of sin IS love.
1
@DANGERMAN-oo5my - Is Christianity taught in public schools?
1
@nanashi1173 - I'm sure all the schools are decorated for LGBTQAI+++ month.
1
@DANGERMAN-oo5my - What part of, public schools don't teach Christianity do you not understand?
1
@brushe8025 - Not all love is the same. If you don't realize that then you must have problems.
1
@mlee9734 - The Bible is the word of God. That doesn't mean it was written for children. I agree that the more we take away God, the worse we are. But if a child is being raised to be godless, having a Bible in a school library that never gets read isn't helping anyone anyway. I said "I'm sorry but if the tradeoff for getting rid of inappropriate sexual content is getting rid of the library Bible, I don't really see it as a big deal." If they're going to allow gay and other sexually perverted books in school then they can't say a word about the Bible. Maybe I'm wrong about the way I feel but I just can't help it. Not when it comes to children. And especially because children ARE being taught LGBTQAI+++ in school but they're NOT being taught Christianity in school. Now when it comes to the threat of taking down the 10 Commandments or the Satanists will put up their Baphomet beside it, I think instead of caving into the Satanists that Christians should be wiling to go ahead and keep the 10 Commandments and let the Satanists do what they want. Everyone can look at both and perhaps come to the realization that everyone must choose one or the other. I think Christians have some things backwards.
1
@nanashi1173 - Don't act like that's all they're doing. That's just the celebration part of it.
1
@henrytawnn8694 - But the left seems to forget that kids ARE NOT being taught Christianity in public schools.
1
@marvinfrederick6363 - I read the Bible. I do not go to church.
1
@jymbo1969 - You're sinning about lying about sinning.
1
@brushe8025 - Love isn't being taught in schools, sex is.
1
@brushe8025 - There are 8 types of "love".
1
@DANGERMAN-oo5my - Oh, because you can't counter argue that Christianity isn't taught in public schools?
1
@brushe8025 - Try reading the whole chapter. It's a verse about revenge against a group of people who had done that to their own children in the Old Testament when it was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
1
@nanashi1173 - Oh, so you think they just decorate for LGBTQAI++ month but aren't taught anything about it?
1
@brushe8025 - I have no problem with that. I don't like a lot of Christians either. what about Lot being raped by his daughters? The Bible doesn't condone those actions, it's just telling what happened.
1
@brushe8025 - In the OT it was an eye for and eye. It is no longer that way in the NT.
1
@brushe8025 - Love and acceptance isn't about accepting people going against God. The Bible warns that rights will be made wrongs and wrongs will be made rights. That's happening quite a bit these days. Same God, different covenant.
1
@italok6577 - LOL, Why would I cry at all when I just said I don't think it's a big deal?
1
@TheHookahSmokingCaterpillar - I think there are a lot of people on the left who would be perfectly fine with banning the Bible completely, not just in schools. It's really not that much of irony either. It would be different if Christianity was still taught in public schools but because it's not, it's really not the loss the left or even Christians seem to think it is. If this was a huge irony then it would be a significant win for the left, just for being a huge irony in itself, but it isn't. No, I don't think all stories in the Bible are age appropriate or even understandable for a lot of kids. Why else would they have children's Bible story books in the first place?
1
Bingo
1
@josierye9389 - Yes, and one way you put others before yourself is to not provoke them to sin or encourage them to do anything that goes against God. Yes, I agree that there are lots of Christians who try to force their religion that do as they please. That's why Jesus said that many profess Him but their hearts are far from Him and why He also said that He would tell many that He never knew them.

I have this argument in the comment sections about getting Children's Bible Books every time this nonsense is brought up.
