  1. Nice pistol. The United States Postal Inspection Service was formed in the late 1700's. They were the first group in the US to use the term Special Agent. Here is a link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Postal_Inspection_Service Whether or not they were considered a law enforcement agency since their inception is questionable.
