@vlhc4642 Taiwan's constitution written in 1946 did not define the territory of the Republic of China, while the draft of the 1925 constitution individually listed the provinces of the ROC and Taiwan was not among them, since Taiwan was part of Japan as the result of the Treaty of Shimonoseki of 1895. The UN resolution 2758 did not say that the PRC had jurisdiction over Taiwan and China agreed to that to join the UN.
