Corbyn and Rahul Gandhi - They are comparable in the sense that they both don't come across as 'authentic or credible' leaders. 1. Credibility: Corbyn's problem is trustworthiness (rather lack of it). Whereas Rahul Gandhi's issue as a politician, at least to me, is the perception that can be illustrated in one way as: He is akin to the Landed gentry of the old England who quite seriously take up say, philanthropy or gardening to fill the time but would not miss the hunting season or Ascot either (Thank you, Wodehouse). 2. To @SG's point: One is prepared to believe that Gandhi may genuinely believe in what he says but one seriously doubts he fully fathoms the depths of his positions in an absolute sense. Corbyn's intellectual prowess and depth of his core beliefs are unquestionable.
