  1. One would like to point out that the studio system in the US is quite predictable in blocking actors/talent, albeit possibly not for domestic political views. A good example is Richard Gere, who campaigns for Tibet, is more or less a pariah and has been only doing indie films for a while (Chinese own a bunch of Hollywood & China is a huge market). So don't analyze the actors only, look at the producers & people/entities who fund the movie business and what are their pressure points & priorities.
