It's not going to help Russia's effort any if a good chunk of those 500 tanks are T-62 or T-55, as are currently showing up in use as tanks (not just supplemental artillery).

@effexon - for T-90, which is their new build tank, 100 per year is probably more accurate. 500 refurbished T-55 or T-62 tanks might sound like a lot until you realize that those museum pieces are a joke on the modern battlefield. An fpv drone, which uses 1 artillery shell, can take one out as can the 25mm gun from the Bradley, along with other weapons AND that 500 tanks is meaningless without 2,000 crew required for them which will be barely trained at this point.

@effexon - you attack with what you have on hand. Unfortunately, the US has sent very, pitifully few Bradleys (especially considering how many we have just sitting in storage collecting dust). If a Bradley isn't around or some Ukrainian tank, then an fpv drone can do the job without exposing any troops or equipment.

@effexon - being able to operate the vehicle and being able to effectively fight with it are two totally different things, especially when comparing museum pieces like T-62 and T-55 to even more modern Soviet era stuff like T-72. If you want to know about how those things fair against the handful of Western equipment Ukraine has, look up Desert Storm. Saddam had some of that older stuff.
