Yeah, China looked at their "sanctions stress test" and realized they'd not like to lose all that trade export revenue and find its trillion dollars of US debt worthless just to help Russia which isn't actually a friend but merely an enemy of an enemy. Ironically, Putin being willing (and foolish enough) to try to expand its borders towards Europe shows China that Putin wouldn't hesitate to expand towards China if it felt it could.
