@teddy.d174 - Well, every NATO country is relying on the US nuclear deterrent to protect them. Unfortunately, what we're showing Putin, starting in 2014 when the US and UK didn't fulfill our obligations under the Budapest Memorandum to protect Ukraine's territorial integrity, is that we're weak. We're so weak we're debating sending equipment. If we had to send troops to protect a NATO member, Putin is figuring that we wouldn't.

You absolutely KNOW that senile, delusional Heir Fuhrer Putin is repeatedly asking his aides, "Where are those guys who took Bakhmut?! Get them to take Avdiivka!" Oops.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ukraine has been working on some homegrown longer range weapons.

15:33 This is the difference between NATO, or the US, and the Soviet Union. Russian leaders can't comprehend that American allies aren't being forced to be subservient to the US. It is simply such a foreign concept to Russians that people from other countries would WANT someone to come and help provide security from external threats. Remember, the "security" of the Soviet Union was designed to protect against internal threats and prevent secession from the Union or of Warsaw Pact countries to leave Russia's orbit. Soviet leaders knew the West wasn't going to invade them just as current Russian leaders know but can't admit and can't reconcile with their understanding of the world.

Worse. There are hundreds of Abrams tanks and Bradley IFV pre staged in Europe so that in the event of a Russian invasion of Europe, the crews and maintenance personnel can get there almost immediately. Those vehicles are just collecting dust, waiting for Russia to invade Europe. Uhh, Russia DID invade Europe. All those vehicles could be transferred to Ukraine in a few days at no cost to taxpayers because they're already paid for and they'd be doing what they're supposed to do...defend Europe from Russian invasion.

12:17 brainwashing. Russian "military training" now mostly consists of brainwashing troops that surrendering to Ukraine will result in torture worse than death, worse than what the Russians do to Ukranian POWs.

People mention a new highway between Russia and China. Road can't move nearly as much as rail.
