This is baffling to me. During this war, Russia has a history of attacking civilian areas, including turning entire towns into rubble and the winter campaign to break the will of the Ukrainian people by destroying civilian infrastructure for heating and electricity. Ukraine has a history of avoiding directly fighting in civilian areas, until the areas are evacuated or abandoned, by surrounding the area instead of directly attacking.

@doinacampean9132 - the part where many people are suggesting that Ukraine blew up the dam (which isn't possible with weapons they have) or that it was simple negligence on Russia's part that caused the failure (despite the many coincidences that Jake points out which must be ignored). That's the part that baffles me, that reasonable people want to believe Russia isn't horrible enough to intentionally destroy or cause the destruction of the dam.

And then also refuses to release security cam video of the incident!

@ozzylad2497 - You're misunderstanding me. Yes, Jake's points are facts. They are also coincidental to the time that the dam failed. Coincidence doesn't mean insignificant or fake. It means occurring at the same time. So, what I'm saying baffles me is that reasonable people would have to ignore all these other facts that are occurring at the same time as the dam failure, coincidences, along with the pattern of destructive pattern of behavior Russia has shown, in order to suggest that the dam was either Ukraine blowing it up (virtually impossible with the weapons they have) or an accident on Russia's part. I'm saying what you're saying. Russia did it intentionally. Now, it's baffling me that I had to explain that to you 3 times.

Sadly, Ryan McBeth channel has devolved into the click bait and misinformation space, or he's been hacked, and is using misinformation to drive people to his paid substack article on this incident. I left a comment that it's sad to see another formerly good channel turn bad and that Jake Broe is about the only unmonetized, non propaganda pushing channel that's not selling some other website or shilling for sketchy sponsors. I know there are other unmonetized channels, but they usually tend to lean into the realm of propaganda (or national or unit pride, understandably). Jake is obviously on the side of Ukraine and freedom. However, his videos are fact based and don't stray into the propaganda or wishful thinking territory that something like Denys Davydov or That Russian Guy channel do.

@effexon - Russia was just blasting its own citizens inside Russia because they didn't know where the freedom fighters were. Russia places no value on anyone's lives who's not in the ruling elite.
