  1. Well, yeah. It's easier to be a supporter of a war when you're not being forced to actually participate. Putin isn't just not remembering Russia in WWI. Russia isn't remembering Russia inAfghanistan, the US in Afghanistan, the US in Vietnam. And, of course, Russia isn't remembering that help in WWII given to them by the United States. Now, as pointed out, Ukraine is the beneficiary of that aid in this war.

  2. Incidentally, the Azov guys getting on the bus are speaking Russian (Mariupol had a lot of Russophones)...meaning they are actually part of the "Russian speakers" that Putin allegedly started the war to save.
