  2. 9:59 in America, we like to confuse "expired" and "best if used by". It results in a lot of edible food going to waste. I'm sure the Russians on the receiving end of those "expired" ATACMS would admit that they seemed fresh enough to do the job.

  3. Athletics is a problem because schools are not being held normally since schools are targets for Russian missile strikes. A single mother friend in Ukraine assures me that her and her daughter get enough exercise by walking most places and doing yoga. Cars are much rarer than in the US and probably most Western countries.

  6.  @oleksandrbespalov9713  - was it this channel that talked about how the component that actually arms the warhead degrades or corrodes and must be replaced to keep the missile actually functional? If that hasn't been done then you're right that there is a real difference between "expired" as in won't launch or arm properly and "best if used by".

  7. 14:40 Jake, Ukraine might actually be establishing another front, not just to take pressure off Zaporizhia. If they can use scouts or forward observers to spot artillery and call in strikes against it, that frees up Ukrainian engineers to establish transport across the river. Opening up an attack vector there, while the current salient has Russian forces pinned to the east would allow Ukraine to attack from a direction that the Russians didn't plan for and for which the Suroviken defenses won't protect from. It's a matter of Ukraine taking opportunity where Russia gives it, similar to what happened in Kherson. I also think Ukraine intends to not repeat last year's mistake of giving the Russians the winter off to prepare defenses, fortify, resupply, and reconstitute units.

These special interests in the Republican party are either soooo far right that they've swung around to actually being on the left and working to further the Democrat party or they are definitely not capable of playing 2D chess...
