  1. Putin wants to meet with Trump to get him to "stop the war". Russia must actually still believe that the peacenik Biden and Russian sympathizer, Jake Sullivan, are forcing Ukraine to fight against Russian subjugation. Despite Russia specifically alienating European countries as not a factor in negotiations, Trump can't end the war...because Europe (which has more to directly lose than the US!) will still support Ukraine's war effort. Trump ALREADY tried to end the war by throwing a wrench in the democratic process and preventing a vote on Ukraine aid for 7 months. In 7 months, Russia is going to be in a dire economic situation. Already the Russian Duma is going against Putin with the proposed law to prevent banks seizing citizens' money. That would be unheard of if Vladimir Vladimirovich was perceived as strong. Instead of fearing Putin and windows, the Russian politicians are beginning to fear getting Mangione'd by an ordinary citizen.
