The only reason Russia made any progress was because Ukraine couldn't effectively attack the forming units on the Russian side of the border. The reason Russia was "short on manpower" is because once the ammunition arrived in Ukraine, their casualties began exceeding the 1,000 per day that Russian "recruiting" had been able to compensate for. For 2 years Russia has been engaging in terror attacks deliberately against civilian targets in Ukraine. Imagine if Al Qaeda was flying planes into US hospitals, schools, grocery stores EVERY DAY. That's what Ukrainian civilians are experiencing and Western countries aren't giving Ukraine the right tools, enough of the right tools, and the permission Ukraine needs to defend itself from a "terrorizer".

And, the YouTube thought police really don't like a comment with "Russia", "Al Qaeda", and "terror".

The attacks on the early warning radars could be to force Russia to defend those sites, taking up air defense resources.

19:07 "early release from prison to join military". The US has used this recruiting technique in our recent past, offering military service in lieu of jail time for non certain crimes. Signing up to defend the country on the battlefield sounds like a decent way to pay their debt to society. These are people who would be released at some point anyway. Ukraine isn't trying to release violent criminals back into society the way Russia was doing. Russia was offering parole or pardon to criminals who had no hope of otherwise getting out of jail.

Imagine that Al Qaeda was crashing planes into hospitals, schools, grocery stores, and apartment buildings every day and the US wasn't allowed to attack them on foreign soil. Sounds pretty friggin absurd.
