Brits who don't recall their own struggle against an enemy who thought they shouldn't exist except maybe as slaves is mind blowing. I suppose the US shouldn't have helped Britain against the Nazis. I mean, all that did was prolong the conflict. Maybe, without help, when the Nazis landed on British soil, the rest of the world could've told them to cede parts of England to settle a peace.

Ukraine is also fighting the same fight the US did in 1776 and it's un-American to not support a country fighting for its independence from a tyrannical oppressor.

On the video call, the lighting on the "chair" behind Sokolov changes. A hospital worker said it looks like a hospital bed. The lighting change could've been if the bed angle was changed. Or it the morgue. Or his legs are off. Or, who knows. Russia is so nuts with fakery.

Yes, the Union of Soviet republics was so "peaceful" that the Kremlin had to send troops and tanks to East Germany, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia (with plans drawn up to send tanks to Poland in the late '80s as the Polish government stooges were losing control of the people who were fed up with Russia's oppression). Yes. It's very "peaceful" when you repeatedly have to quell uprisings. Incidentally, Russia also sent tanks to Belarus to protect Lukashenko's "legitimate" election results.

What Russia has done throughout it's history (and which has always ended same, collapse of the empire or regime), is exactly what Putin is currently trying to do in the modern era. Yes, the United States of fukn A has a fetish for invasioneering. However, we have no desire to annex or keep the places we've sent our military. And, except for Dubya's oopsy into Iraq over non existent WMD (which existed only in the unvetted intel he asked his intelligence agencies to provide him) US invasioneering was a response to an attack. Russia invaded Ukraine simply to grab land. Ukraine never intended and wouldn't have conceived attacking Russia. Prigozhin admitted as much in his truth propaganda. Russia's (Soviet Union) involvement in Afghanistan was to add it to their group of mostly not Russian republics.
