Comments by "Lavender Eucalyptus" (@lavendereucalyptus3225) on "Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says China trip "has been successful" in forging relationship" video.
Yellen visited China and proposed to cancel the additional tariffs imposed during the Trump era, but required China to meet three conditions: 1. Buy $850 billion in Treasury bonds 2. Withdrawal of China’s countered sanctions on U.S. (keep in mind, US has imposed over 600 sanctions on China, China has just now begun to counter sanction with two, we need perspective) 3. Ask for a pledge not to support Russia. America misses nostalgia era when the Eight-Nation Allied Forces militarily forced into Beijing, and demanded China to sign the unequal treaty. The world has not changed the behavior of the collective west, what has changed is China, and China has become stronger.

There’s nothing wrong with Yellen’s diplomatic and respectful gesture, Chinese people and culture appreciate humbleness, Chinese don’t consider you being humble, friendly and courteous is a sign of weakness, only the ultra egoistic collective west think that. Contrarily, Chinese view these qualities as display of confidence and strength characteristics. Chinese believe in mutual respect, not bullying or arrogance like US has always projected itself to the world.

@AutomatedPersonnelUnit_3947 Yellen is only practicing normal diplomacy and respect, like all countries should to each other. It may be strange to you, because you have the mentality of ‘American Exceptionalism. Well, you should get informed what your government has been doing to China and to the world, then you will come to realize why Yellen acted the way she acted. If you judge by a sound bite or clipped video, you are missing the real story.

Yellen is only practicing normal diplomacy and respect, like all countries should to each other. Anyone criticizes Yellen’s respectful and friendly gesture, because you still have the mentality of ‘American imperial Exceptionalism.

@henrysmith4409 I see you are still living in the 80s, you have some catching up to do, or soon you are falling far behind, you can’t even see the tail light of a changing world. More than 90% of Chinese people approved the good governance by the Beijing leadership, they are happy and optimistic, and Chinese culture and philosophy will always exist in every Chinese and their governance. From your criticism, you barely know Chinese culture and history.

@BOBBRADLY Get used to common good of diplomacy and respect, that’s demonstrated by Yellen, she’s done nothing out of ordinary, she’s practicing common sense of how countries and people should treat each other. If you interpret Yellen is being over accommodating, you have been exposed to overdosed display of bully, arrogance and testosterone by your media and government, which is very unhealthy and destructive. Having courage to practice diplomacy and respect shows real strength and confidence, for that I respect Yellen.

Excessive bowing is Japanese tradition, not Chinese tradition, maybe in the old Chinese dynasties, a tradition when lower rankings greeted the higher ranking or emperors. BUT the new China PRC did not inherit the old Chinese tradition, PRC promotes equality between men and women, among classes, China treats other countries small or big with respect and equal footing. The new China PRC is not the old imperial China, the new China PRC was founded to resist imperialism and colonialism. If you are seriously about understanding China, please read PRC constitution, not learn from your western corporate fake news MSM.

@rolodexter I agree that buying treasury bonds between countries does strengthen ties. China doesn’t have the problem strengthening ties with US, it’s the US initiated offensive Cold War against China, from trade wars, info wars, anti China wars, technology wars, all China is doing is to defend US continuous bombarded attacks. The 8 nations alliance may sound like old history today, but western imperialism and colonialism are still very alive today, as long as US led collective west don’t abandon their mentality of ganging up ‘allies’ to attack other countries/region, the bully and aggression by the west will continue.

Believe it or not, Yellen is the only one in Biden administration sounds more sane. The rest of Biden admin all act like psychopaths.
