Democrats desperate to hang on to the crumbling delusion that the country's chosen anti-Trump (honk honk) isn't a complete disaster and they don't look like fools in front of everyone else they know for keeping up the act so long. If they have to hold their vomit bags to the whole thing then so be it.

  5. It'll be really really hard to convince people of the five times bigger honking and you'd have to pull in 2024. You'd even have many Democrats not believe it. No independent would. At that point you might have States outright refused to certify at their on local level. That would mean he would have to use some sort of emergency order to maintain power. Whether he runs or not is a different matter, and a decent question. 2024 will come to some sort of head. If he's the candidate they are genuinely worried it's not going to work out... Hence their frenzied propaganda. It wouldn't be necessary if they were certain.

  9. They are calling for a cognitive test in front of Congressional doctors, but he is not legally obligated to. Also, impeachment proceedings take time. When they do so, of course, it won't be out of any kind of virtue it will be because they are scared of their own voters.
