3:39 "Well, actually 10 is divisible by 2" - I LOLd when I realized that Guido actually lives what he did with the original python: why memorize whether 10 is a prime, when you can quickly compute it in you head.

Andrej is now in the process of leveling up himself. A bit later in the podcast he said he would be interested to return to Tesla to work on the Tesla bot.

a true programmer would have said 3.9A

Lex: Why did you leave Tesla? You are one of the best in AI. You accomplished so much. Karpathy: This isn't even my final form.

it will be called Pithon 3.14 though

I agree. AI will just generate an embedding for concepts and we will be puzzled about what that embedding stands for. Just like people were puzzled about the square root of -1 before Cardano.

Cloud it be that none of Elon's arguably risky companies ever went bankrupt?

We all know there is this Russian who had the idea or calculated it 20 years ago with pencil and paper. Geniuses in their own right. But to impact the world you have to build and Elon is indeed very good (maybe unmatched) in gathering resources: None of his - arguably risky - enterprises ever went out of business.

I hope for the Apple II of robots, i.e. hope it will be programmable/teachable by users.

No, they do get it. This is why people doing the actual work get paid less - they enjoy the work and get to enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. You can get away with paying them less for that reason. Managers OTOH have the shitty job of resolving nanny issues, firing people (it's not fun) etc. and making decisions with incomplete information and dealing with the fact that they actually don't accomplish anything tangible. They have the more shitty job and that usually commands higher salary.

I would not say emotions but rather false conclusions rooted in insufficient understanding of underlying assumptions.

0:31 "Aeeemm" -> Lex thinking: "Damn I didn't prepare for a no."

Invention is overrated. It's execution that creates an impact, not some silly patent.
