Incitement to riot is not free speech. Race hatred is not free speech. Deliberately spreading harmful falsehoods is not free speech. All these forms of speech exact a heavy price: a price paid by others.

It’s free speech. It’s not free-from-consequences speech. So, if your speech incites violence, racial hatred, arson, pogroms… there will and must be consequences. That’s not an affront to democracy. That is democracy. And the law. Rather than mob rule and fascism.

Farage thinks we incited Putin to invade Ukraine but denies any role in creating the atmosphere that led to the nationalist riots. I can’t think of anyone besides Trump who is more consistent in his malevolence and relentless distortion of reality. No wonder they are "friends."
