  3.  @jameswhyte5094  By international law, the 1951 Refugee Convention, they do not have to seek asylum in the first safe country they reach. BTW all those countries you mentioned also take asylum seekers.

  5.  @jameswhyte5094  Incorrect. For most of the asylum seekers, there are no safe legal routes. They are within their rights under the convention to seek asylum. Over 70% are eventually assessed as being genuine refugees. Why don't you know this?
