  1. And I think people don’t realise how sucky the chicom navy is. Sure they have lots of manpower but can they funnel masses of troops to Taiwan? Doubtful going by track record.

  2. My issue with this is I suspect the West has exhausted itself for a couple of years due to over extending in Ukraine. So not sure I can do the whole we must defend Taiwan at this point. Sure it actually deserves to be defended from th chicoms and there’s the practical issue of microchip production. But feels like a 2 front situation that we cannot actually sustain in the short term due to supply chain issues,offshoring,military cutbacks etc. My hope is the Chicoms fail hard due to having a shoddy navy and some nature aspect leaning into ancient Chinese legends. But for now Taiwan is on it’s own. As Ukraine should have being so we can defend something more important like Taiwan. Also regarding mixing your missiles up. HIMARs in Ukraine started off difficult to detect and counter. It was only a few weeks until the Himars missiles had to be mixed in with GRAD missiles so some himars would get through.
