  5. Here's a novel idea. How about we cut the size of the government? It create most of the problems but we keep giving it more power and no I'm not talking left and right here. Bad as each other. Cut government spending, cut taxes. Let the private market (that includes private charitable donations/efforts FYI) sork out the rest. We need some Lockian thinking reinstilled into these Isles of ours.

  8. Typical Sky News reporting. A journo having their camera taking and smashed is not the same as being attacked. If anything it was rather polite by the standards of people round my parts. Plus I think the profession of journalism needs to realise it is now viewed with the same kind of contempt once only reserved for politicians and lawyers by everyday people. Also Sky News failed to report how things went from peaceful protest to riot mode. It involves 2 tier policing regarding a counter protest openly carrying knives and such. Gee. It’s almost as Sly News is part of the problem as well, along with Channel 4 News, BBC etc etc.

I personally have spent the best part of a year warning people against creating a Russian version of MAGA thanks to the principles of “othering” causing everyday Russians to side ever more with the Kremlin. Agree or disagree. Most Russians now view the SMO/invasion of Ukraine as an existential crisis so it stands to reason the more intractable we become, the more they will. Ruskies did almost get Zelensky round a table but then UK PLC under Bojo scuppered the peace talks. I think that salient to point out.
