Quick update based on feedback. Some viewers (I would wager a guess at completionists) are rather upset that I said the game was short. I did not do every single quest, I did not read every single data terminal, and choose every option of every dialogue interaction. I just didn't do it... I also read quickly and would skip dialogue frames when I had read the words, rather than waiting for their slow speech pattern to reconcile each sentence. I also lost multiple companions to permadeath, and thus no quest chain for them.
If you spend hours upon hours backtracking and running in circles to ensure you find every single thing in every single region... yeah, I guess maybe it's possible to get to 50 hours, and if that's fun for you... you are the ultimate winner here because that type of value from a purchase is unreal. However... that's not what a lot of others do, if you aren't dying constantly (just dump your points into crit and long guns and grab a sniper... done) and you don't run around backtracking... its probably not UNDER 10 hours... by the end of what I did post-campaign end (which could have been done easily pre-ending) it was certainly higher than 10 by some margin.... but its not as high as a small minority will vocally claim.
Again... they are the real winner here...because they get more fun, from a great game, for longer... but I review as a function of what I know to be true for myself, and the vast majority of gamers I have ever socialized with.

Ok, so there is clearly some misinformation and confusion regarding this topic. First, here is a link to the Shutterstock website where clipart can be purchased. Our designs are based on artwork found on sites such as this one and SPECIFICALLY The cowboys used can be seen as Top middle, and bottom left/center for two of the shirts in question that were suspended.

A lot of comments say "you stole their merch" it is not their design, they do not own the color red and they do not own the cowboy likenesses which again, are CLEARLY displayed, for purchase, and commercial use, at the above link.
One exception to this exists, and two silhouettes (of an estimated dozen or so) on one SINGLE design are extremely similar to the poster silhouettes.... In this instance, there is a precedent to have that ONE SINGLE SHIRT removed, and it rightly has been done.
Rockstar does not, and I repeat. DOES NOT own the artwork for the other designs and has no legally defensible claim to it.
However, the problem lies in the specific language used while promotion of the shirts was taking place. In my specific language, it could be reasonably confused with the way I worded the merchandise call to action, that these are official red dead redemption 2 shirts. Because of this, the case can be made that it infringes upon their trademark and that is most likely the reason the merchandise was taken down.
Its hard for me to believe anyone is that stupid, as to actually think that this merchandise was official rockstar merchandise and it was never the goal to portray it as such intentionally but the wording "link below for our red dead 2 themed merchandise" can be construed that way. As a result a takedown of the merchandise is possible, has been executed and will remain standing... however with rampant examples on further platforms, amazon, teespring, and more... I again draw attention to the fact that our merch was the singular target of this action. Even the shirts using PROVEN non-rockstar imagery were claimed, while many other sellers who literally use the logo of the game remain untouched.
The comments that claim "you stole their artwork" are categorically and demonstrably false... however the claims that reasonable confusion due to the promotional language of the merchandise is the likely cause of the takedown... that criticism is entirely relevant and correct.
I have always held myself to a high standard when it comes to self-reflection and admitting fault. I often ponder in silent moments why many others fail to do this, and expect those around me to "own up to it" when they have made a mistake... that is exactly what I must do in this situation.
My language while discussing the merchandise was incorrectly phrased, and with precise attention to detail, has been, and can be, used to take action which is what Rockstar has done. That is my fault, and my fault alone.
The Majority of the Artwork itself is not claimable by them in any capacity.... any commentators who are claiming as such are flat out wrong, but tertiary factors of my own creation have resulted in the current situation.
I will, however, maintain that despite all this, Rockstar has shown a clear and proven bias, on multiple counts... towards creators and sellers who shill for their product and ignore blatant and chronic design flaws. I will not be one of those creators. Rockstar has shown a total lack of integrity by specifically targetting the Upper Echelon channel even when worse infringement that is not restricted to a spoken word technical level is rampant on multiple e-commerce platforms. To wholistically sum up the situation... My own wording of the merchandise promotion segments can be interpreted by a specific set of legal standards to have created confusion regarding the merchandise affiliation, which can then be used to issue a takedown on the products. That has already happened and will remain that way, but Rockstar again has NO LEGAL CLAIM to the artwork as it can be proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that it is not utilizing their trademark.
Constructive criticism and informed criticism are welcome, dare I say necessary for any creator or organization to improve, but ignorant moron commenters who spout off how "you stole their designs" will be permabanned from the channel.

The Animation tip is actually very very clutch. Definitely saves time. As for birds flying overhead, have not had luck with them though ill cede for sharpshooters that could be quite lucrative. When it comes to testing, I did multiple runs, tacked on 2 extra minutes at times, discarded all travel time, started the clock from first bird spotted... counted every bird seen as a kill and skin... and some other criteria in order to make every reasonable best attempt to succeed at an average 60 per 10 minutes. It's just not possible, flat out. I didn't say its impossible to go above 30, in one of my attempts I hit an easy 45, but on average, with any other player in the vicinity, any ill luck with spawns, any horse panics, and without proper use of the animation glitch the method lands at about 30, maybe higher with expertise but never 60 and far, FAR from 90.

Of course, there are more things to be concerned about than the economy. However, the economy, in a grind-based shared open world is the foundation for almost the entire player experience outside isolated segments of reward-based gameplay activity which is likely undertaken with the express goal of character progression and thus... feeds into economic balance being a core issue.
Applying your very own logic to the concept of the game being too empty discredits the entire position and any subsequent position you may pivot to.
Robberies, bounties and heists aren't in the game, so how can feedback be given on them? Feedback can be given about the underlying infrastructure into which they will be layered... the economy.
You have said, "Even in its current state, without everything, you will be able to get most of the stuff in the game within a short amount of time." First of all, that timeframe and the proposition that it is short is completely subjective and obviously not representative of community sentiment at large. Second, the most stable core premise of your position is that feedback at this stage regarding economic values is unwarranted because further material is obviously due to be released at some point.
That further material will be laced into the current earnings system, with subsequent items layered on top of existing items and the problem lies (even as you yourself admitted in the economy video) with imbalances in activity earnings, and more importantly item pricing.
I am not arguing that "all the guns need to be cheaper because we can't get them fast enough" I am stating that factoring in the customization options in the camp system, aesthetic customization in general, consumable availability and relative price... with innumerable other factors make the economy more than uncomfortable for most players.
I have been urging players to give feedback to that end with the intent to have Rockstar rebalance ratios across the board. It would be percentage increases to for instance help align valuables and general looting with other methods such as hunting, or fishing. It would mean a tiered increase to PvP to slightly increase earnings for winning players and heftily increase low and mid-tier earnings with the specific intention of offsetting their self-bought ammunition system. It would involve an increase the stranger mission payouts that are tied directly to base timeframe estimates. IE the mailbag quest that leads you all across the area with 3 bags, each with 3 letter components would have an extremely high payout due to increased danger over a longer duration and added potential investment through consumables, ammo, and more.
I would propose all these changes to offset the sky-high price in consumables which are used quite frequently. Perhaps enough to make it so that eating 2 consumables in a stranger mission, or PvP match does not cut your net profits by over 50% at times... and I would also propose a 20 - 40% reduction in consumable pricing overall.
A good rule of thumb is that prices in a game based heavily on elements of realism, (outside a core combat loop of course) should have real relationships.
Guns deteriorate at a rapid rate and thus meticulous players spend a great deal more than they should have to in order to keep them topped off, I would propose a reduction in gun oil pricing or a durability increase to weapons to avoid that becoming yet another sink and the list goes on and on and on.
I mention all of this because the relationships between different items within an economy are important. Having to grind for a lengthy duration just to top up your horse reviver (horses die frequently and are inconvenient to revive if you do not have the consumable) and some additional health tonics to use on missions should not be such a task that you feel uncomfortable using them rapidly in a PvP match, or an ambush... The current economy has no internal balance... and my argument is not so shallow as to be characterized by your lazy and subjective deflections of (paraphrased, I would need to find the exact quote) "Im level 20 and I can buy everything I want so the people complaining are just level 10 and have not played enough"
Speaking of grind, it's obvious now beyond the shadow of a doubt that you spend an atypical amount of time grinding out your favourite particular hunting method... to which you still have not addressed my point... in the SLIGHTEST that you have over exaggerated every numerical estimation given in regards to said method. Will you ever address the fact that you have continually stated false estimates or is that not relevant to an economic discussion when you are basing almost your entire premise on a hunting method that requires a grinding technique which many players find to be either repetitive, unappealing or overly punishing. And yet... you have repeatedly and falsely advertised through offhanded estimations that very method to your audience, as the way to overcome their frustrations with the economic situation.
Have we also dropped the false claim that the game is not pay to win simply because one can not purchase weapons with gold? And the premise that YouTubers should "stop click baiting because the game is not pay to win"? (Yeah I saw some of the live streams... your opinions aren't consistent at all to someone who meticulously pays attention) When one of your own self-proclaimed best money making methods is fishing, and lures can be bought with gold and DO in fact ignore level requirements? The obvious reply here is "well the lures are only 1 gold so its ok" and you would be right if this was not just another indication of interlaced systems, waiting to be flicked to the ON position that pull players into microtransaction purchases through soft-walled AND hard walled content in certain areas. My own horse insurance is 5 gold, no in-game dollar equivalent, 5 gold only. Horse insurance helps SO much. I can easily lose my horse constantly, needing revives, thus costing funds, or needing a flat out 4.00 revival fee from the catalogue and thus a recharge time. In the interim use of the scrawny nag is beyond annoying. It has terrible stats across the board and saddles me with a distinct disadvantage in the open world when avoiding griefing, competing for contested mission rewards and much more. To bypass either paying over and over with an added wait I MUST spend gold which I have not even been able to earn enough of in dozens of hours of grinding for basic horse insurance.
Did we instead drop the pay to win argument since an increased purchase amount of 99.99 netted a player the free varmint rifle, free horse with superior stats to the basic variant, free shotgun, free pistol and experience booster? It is emblematic of the most easily definable and categorical "pay to win" system.
Rockstar has specifically asked the community at large for feedback, and I have stated time and time again that offering feedback on the broken relative pricing and payout ratios is great feedback to give. You, however, have mocked your own audience, falsely labelled on numerous occasions those who are concerned as sub level 10s who just don't play enough, despite the obvious reality that they may not have the ability to grind out an over exaggerated farming method like you do. Your sentiment of wait and see is giving way to "obviously people should submit their feedback" which is a start but you seem to still have some sort of mental block about the economy balance because it has not affected YOU personally. Healthy scepticism, encouraging players to use officially opened channels for community feedback and tentatively ensuring players are aware that a publisher with the direct sentiment that they have and are UNDER monetizing their userbase is something is needed, and necessary. It is not clickbait, and it should not be discouraged, regardless of whether or not you like the tone.
Some people don't like hunting and like activities that are economically imbalanced right now and its a bigger issue than you will probably ever acknowledge, and it's probably my own fault for expecting anything else seeing as one of my core premise arguments was your total ineptitude at mathematical estimations. How then could I expect that the creator I disagreed with for their lack of care when numbers were involved would be the right individual to have a debate with about game economics.

Yes, that was the point, though perhaps a little TOO tricky. I wanted it to be something that might even require a screenshot, and tweaking the contrast to really see it.
Keep in mind that this game WILL get harder. There will be dead ends, traps, and hoops to jump through. The font problem was unforeseen. I knew there would be hiccups but I largely regard this an extremely successful beginning to a bounty system that is truly unique on YouTube.

The idea was that over the course of those couple seconds, the white cycled across it in such a way as to make it a bit more obvious. Again... work in progress. What would be your view of ping adjustment services then? Some players have a high ping but various services can optimize and reduce that ping. It is usually a paid service and it can greatly improve responsivity of the game. Thus, a distinct advantage... it sounds to me like you are simply against people having an edge over you and that it can be broken down to a subjective desire for a "level playing field based on your own standards" that cannot and will not ever be a reality. Augmentation of software, I am firmly against... in all capacities, but the physical usage of something that in no way interacts with the game itself or augments code... different story.
Competitive players will always seek out advantages... and offering up one of those advantages that is not in breach of any ToS, does not interact with the game itself in any way and is also 100% achievable by anyone watching with rudimentary tools and no cost is something I have 0 reservations about doing. Another great example would be sound equipment for general enhancement and quality of sound and directional indication. (I am sponsored by a product called Xpump right now in fact which does exactly that) It allows me to hear everything better, and helps with a sharper presence in left or right ear... this in turn lets me identify a target's direction faster and earlier... thus... a distinct advantage.
You can warp that to be "cheating" in your eyes but it is the usage of a tool that merely enhances what the game already provides. The overlay merely shows me where screen center is... that does not change WHERE the bullets go within that spread but allows me to very quickly recenter or better retain a target that otherwise may be lost against a specific background color... The same can be achieved with a computers gamma settings, or "color blind mode" in a lot of games.... arbitrarily drawing lines in the sand for what you think is cheating and should not be promoted is a never-ending chain of moving targets and will never make sense because once you draw one line, 10 things will contradict your decision and when you change that line... 20 more things will contradict... This differs in the case of legitimate hacking, augmenting actual code to change game functions... thats where the line is, trying to move that line closer in order to paint someone in a bad light, is obnoxious and likewise trying to shift that line further away, to justify actual cheating, is despicable.
