Another example the CIA-backed 1954 coup in Iran they say the leader we overthrew was democratically elected which is true, but he also turned Iran into a military dictatorship which is why we got the Shah's permission to perform such as coup. Hell even the clergy who later overthrew the Shah were agains the dude.
