I'm sure that Gujarat and Maharashtra are far more developed than any southern state buddy. It's not about being listed or illiterate to start with. Makes no sense. How can you be looted? In every country every state pays the same tax. Poor states are always uplifted by the rich. Only Tamilnadu falls within the top 5 rich state in the south. The rest states are non southern states. They don't have such a silly mindset.

@ananddeena7642 In north india you can talk in English. People will even understand broken english for sure. I'm a Bengali. I will talk in Hindi because it's easy for the people to understand. Tamil isn't easy to learn like Hindi & it's worthless outside of Tamilnadu. I won't be wasting any time learning that. I would rather prefer English or Hindi if I'm in the southern states

@VishnuprasadN-p8c If you've sense then you would've known that Hindi is always used as the third language. Local languages are always the first language. No language is threatened. It's just the majority find it comfortable to engage in Hindi. I'm a Bengali myself

Tamil? Why would anyone speak in Tamil if the majority result understand Hindi & English. As a Bengali I won't be wasting time learning a language that benefits no one, even tamils
