@easy1355 The World's largest trading association is the TPPP, you know like adding the third and fifth GDP's together. EU's combined GDP fell by 20% on the UK withdrawal. '27 Nations' combined ... 19 of which combined GDP is equal to UK but WITHOUT trading at the same level with the Big Six as the UK does, indeed the UK is the second largest domestic market in Europe and usually largest market for most EU members. UK imports from EU have declined as better value goods are gained from elsewhere.

@tribalque2232 You clealry know nothing about the EU's military and foreign policy centralisation do you.
2
@garrywynne1218 You mean as a proportion of Total Exports, because the value and volume of exports to the EU is at an all time high.

@easy1355 The EU is of miniscule significance compared to our GDP. Another economic m0r0n posting here aren't you.

@paulkirton8945 Another half witted ignoramus who understands NOTHING about the EU, or about international trade or about basic arithmetic. The PTPP is the largest trading association in the World, just add Japan's (3rd) and UK's (5th) GDP together. The EU's GDP fell by 205 when the UK left . The UK always had a deficit with the EU when it is supposedly 'mutually beneficial'. The DEFRA is still implementing EU-CAP. This policy is the cause of decline in UK agri-business. It is based on NO producing anything. The UK does NOT export raw food stuffs to the EU but its exports of processed and branded food goods to the EU is at an aLL time high, as it is to RoW under WTO. Ignorant twaddle about 'tariff free trade' when you don't understand how the EU uses Regulation (the bureaucratised anti-innovation and price fixing mechanism of the so called 'Single Market') to choke off both competition within the EU as well from outside by alleged 'standards'; yeah like Romanina Donkey Mince.

@easy1355 Nope ignorant propagandist twaddle; you hav e no points which are bae don international trade, or indeed arithmetic. The UK has not 'put up trade barriers' with anybody. The 'terms of trade' with the EU have changed to the UK's benefit with RoW. The EU was supposedly 'mutually beneficial' ie a balance in trade, in fact the UK always had a Deficit with it. Now the UK has left the SM-CU it sources better value goods from RoW under WTO leading to a decline in the UK-EU Deficit. Strange that under WTO UK-RoW is always at a Surplus, especially with the USA our single largest mutually trading and investment partner. More idiocy from yu blathering about 'nearest', the gravity model oftrade denies World History of the internatioanl Empires of the leading European nations and cannot explain the rise of both Japan and chin both of which principal markets are a half a world away. Go and visit a psychonanalyst for your BDS will you.

@laurenceBDontYaNo You write utter nonsense based on ignorance - you know nothing of UK-EU trade or indeed about basic economics or simple arithmetic. I suggest you go and take a course on maths.
