  1. In 2008 Israel withdrew from Gaza and removed Israeli settlers from there. This was called 'land for peace'. The PLO won the Palestinian elections but Hamas murdered the PLO representatives there and took over avowedly to declare war on Israel. Since then Hamas has repeatedly launched terrorist and rocket attacks on Israel. So there has been no 'peace for land'. Gaza is blockaded by both Israel and Egypt.
