Kind of defeats the concept of “ wilderness” imo. Guess we haven’t gotten soft wanting “ big brother “ watching our every move and protecting us

@hukedonfonix1671 most carry concealed if they are smart and families with kids generally aren’t in the back country. I never carry openly lest I trigger someone who doesn’t like guns. I respect their beliefs - just not when they push them on my rights

@Annie_Annie__ I remember the highway phones . The trail still has those 3 sided structures , they were called Adirondacks when I was a kid. Don’t know the actual term for them. With the advent of cell phones the highway phones really made little sense now .
