Canadian here, went on a middle America road trip last winter from North Dakota to Texas, 4 months long.
One of the worst experiences of my trip was American Bread. Even the Grocery store baked stuff is awful. If you buy a HEB loaf for example out of Texas, it weighs like 15 pounds, it's barely even cooked, it's basically still dough, you can't even cut it with a bread knife. Its closer to the consistency of play-doe, than actual real bread.
One thing I'll never take for granted anymore is our Canadian/ Italian and Portuguese bakeries, they make the best bread in the world in my opinion, it's crisp, but light and fluffy at the same time, it's perfect. My mouth is watering thinking about it.
Bonanza Bakery, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It will change your life forever. Trust me. You'll never want bread from anywhere else ever again.

If you're a fan of the underdog storyline, then European football is your sport, there is Cinderella stories in almost every league, every year.
This year in England Luton Town would be that story, just a few years back they were down in the 3rd or 4th tier, and this year they are in the Premiership.
Almost a decade ago Leicester City was that team, you may have heard of them, they were a low league team for years, they worked their way up the ranks, and the year they got to the Premiership most of the big clubs were in the middle of rebuilding squads, or had off seasons, and Leicester won the league, a truly astonishing story for that club.

I personally think there is a far bigger threat of losing democracy with the Current Liberals in power of most of the west, then anyone else, lockdowns, mask mandates, the push for a central currency, social credit scores, fertilizer and pesticides bans, completely avoidable food and energy shortages, senseless interest rate spikes, massive private land purchases for many of the elite, aka, starve the ones who survive disease, then take their money, take their land, and make them completely reliant on government, that’s all the start of modern communism or socialism in my eyes.
We need less government telling us what to do, not more.

In Canada we literally use both, we started off mostly imperial, then some liberal idiot PM decided we should try to stay close to our european motherland and switch half of everything to metric, including our road signs, what a waste of money.
As we use both here, and i do both auto mechanics as a hobby, and commercial plumbing professionally, they both have their place, imperial is better for construction, its easier to communicate measurements to your colleagues. Metric is better for manufacturing, mechanics and tool making, as there is more scale for accuracy and efficiency
