@tiffanykahn2535 that's truly sad. Unfortunately, you are right in some degree. However, that is not the religion. Extremism is not founded in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, mentions directly to be aware of extremism, to find the middle path.
You mentioned education, remember the longest continuous university, University of al-Qarawiyyin
founded in the 9th century by a Muslim woman, Fatima Al-Fihri, May Allah be pleased with her.
So, the oppression that we see today, unfortunately, is not what the religion of mercy and guidance is based upon.
Visit a local masjid or cultural center for further research. Take care

@polokucoch8112 These practices existed well before Islam. You specifically mentioned Allah, I'll keep the focus on Islam. During the advent of Islam in the 7th century, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and mercy upon him, directly outlawed the practice of femicide which was very prevalent previously. It still has existed through tribal tradition and culture.
Because of the long-standing traditions, some regional Muslims, Christians, and Hindus have practiced it. Nothing religious. It's regional and cultural.
We can take a step deeper. It's actually forbidden in Islam (Qur'an 4:93, 5: 32)
Please visit a local masjid and university to learn more about Islam. It is an obligation among all Muslims, including girls and women, to learn and seek knowledge.
May you be rightly guided.

@mikeg3728 not one single verse from Noble Qur'an can be quoted supporting so-called "honor k****ings" because it doesn't exist. Qur'an 4: 93, 5 : 32 debunks those claims.
To add, during the advent of Islam of the 7th century, Prophet Muhammad, sallalahu allaihi wa saalam, forbid the practice of feminicide, which was widely accepted throughout the Arabian peninsula.
What may remain of the practice are cultural and tribal traditions that some individual Christian, Hindus, or Muslims may endorse. Cultural, not theological.
Regarding the deviant Shiaa created by Yahoodi, Abd Allah ibn Saba; Please visit a local masjid free of deviation to learn.
Take care

@twixxy7404 No, that is not correct. Nowhere in Islamic tradition, history, literature, sacred text, Qur'an, hadith, sunnah, etc, is HK permitted. In fact, it's the complete opposite, feminicide, a pre-Islamic practice directly outlawed by Prophet Muhammad sallalahu allaihi wa saalam during the advent of Islam. @Youtubeacc1776 we would have to revisit authentic text of the Qur'an and Islamic scripture to establish the permissiblilty of such behavior. Similar to this visit, which for shock value intentionally leaves room to insinuate, this is somehow Islamic. It is not.
Rather, it is regional, longstanding cultural and tribal practices that existed before the advent of organized Islam, as we know today.
Hence why even some Christian families have practiced so-called "honor k******," and we know that's not religious.
Regarding Hummus or other t*rror groups that deviant the actual legislation, they will be held accountable for their innovative practices, which trangress the lawful bounds of the religion either in this world or the next or both.
These radical groups have no authority to make any calls worldwide, nor is their khalifah or world leader in the unified Muslim world, which is permissible before a "jihad" can be implemented.
I can't say they're not real Muslims. That's between them and their creator. Rather, they have gone far astray upon deviance.
May the deviants receive that which is meant for them in punishment or otherwise. Allah's refuge is sought.

@xodr5 With your knowledge, please correct and explain to all the erroroneous commenters that the so-called "honor k******" are, in fact, not only not found in Islamic religious text nor mandated. Rather, according to your findings, found in the bible. We can take a step further to say it's actually impermissible and a grave crime. (Qur'an 4:93, 5:32) and that's without going deeper into sharia and fiqh matters for the punishment of an unfair trial and judgment as this should be left to Allah subhnahu wa' ta ala. As you continue to say, it's cultural, not religious.
The rest of your diatribe is conjecture, based on deviation from the religion. Not Islam. Again, cultural.
Please, how you were so inspired in an attempt to correct my previous remarks. Please correct those others who spread false and misleading information.
May Allah azza wal jal guide you. Ameen
