What other choice he have? Will not only slapped him then threatened him and CLEARLY ready to get up there again. And notice no one stood up to Wil or defended Chris so he knows he's alone. No joke is worth a black eye.

@coiledsteel8344 obviously it wasn't justified, but ANYTHING Chris did at that moment would have been pounced on that HE is the one with "fragile ego" for calling the police or something. Hell...two #$#@$ congresswomen (guess) both tweeted SUPPORT of Will in the matter....! as has ppl like Whoopi Goldberg. can't make this #$#@$ up. So he made the best of it and didn't say #$@#$ even though he SHOULD have and could have right there on stage.
