Anyone wondering why convictions are low and the accused men must be innocent and the victims are liars. How did Sir Jimmy get away with it? The police ignored the girls/ women involved when they complained. Same with some of the grooming gangs' victims.

Spot on. There are some sensitive males about.

Proof they're lying please.

@Lucretia Listen to the cases and the victims involved. One woman had her case dropped as she was seen holding hands with her attacker. She was raped near some bushes and went to the police. She is a lesbian. It's hard to prove so the CPS drop cases so their conviction rate is better. I've listened to the discussions about the issue rather than blaming the victims. My apologies.

The police assumed the victims of the grooming gangs were lying or were asking for it...

@ryanhall4659 As well as social services at fault, there were also faults with the police. The police and authorities also ignored the girls as they were in care or they looked down on them. "• Detectives without training in child sexual exploitation were used to interview potential victims. • There was a lack of managerial oversight for investigations in 2008 and 2009. • There was a lack of strategies to respond to frequent "runaways", which allowed them to return to their abusers. • There was a recognition that there may have been discriminatory attitudes among police officers towards the victims." That's from a police review in Rochdale.

@ryanhall4659 It's hard to prove and there are faults with the police. No one should be convicted if innocent but there are vast amounts if cases that are not followed through due to not being able to get a conviction. Lack of a conviction is not proof that the rape victim is lying.

@ryanhall4659 Not really. Are unsolved burglaries fake? What's the conviction rate?
1
@ryanhall4659 Met Police data shows 95% are unsolved. Maybe the victims of burglary are lying to get insurance?

@ryanhall4659 "Scotland Yard said national sanction detection rates - the way solved cases are measured - were 5.5 per cent for burglary and seven per cent for robbery between April 2017 and April 2018" https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk-crime-statistics-burglaries-robberies-solved-investigated-police-a8402891.html No ghost data was available

Not in rape cases. The conviction rates are very low.
1
@Gaynor Lewis Nope. Just arguing against perceived ideas and made up data.
1
@Gaynor Lewis Are you a wokist? No. You must be a Marxsist (sic) then. Top logic. Conviction rates are low as it's hard to solve as a crime. However, the police, CPS and courts could do better.
1
@mortalwombat Everyone a Marxist... Did Sir Jimmy Savile get convicted whilst alive? He still committed the crimes. Are burglaries crimes if there is no conviction? Of course they are. If someone mugs you but doesn't get caught, are they innocent?
