  5. Kamala leads Trump on the economy, why? Tariffs are paid at the point of entry to the US, by the importer. The supplier (China) pays nowt. That cost is passed on to the consumer by the importer. It is a Sales Tax on consumers. Then inflation rises as a consequence. The best bit? The tariff is paid to the Feds and Joe has been spending it.
