  1. The label 'Palestinian' was invented in 1964 for a political purpose. It's a made-up name for a collection of Arabs who share the same culture with all of the surrounding Arab countries. Before 1948, the word Palestinian referred only to the Jewish people who lived in the British Mandate of Palestine.

  3.  @tracy6947 : Yes the land had a regional name, but has never been a sovereign country called Palestine, one which had a unique culture, with kings, coins, artefacts, a specific language, and places of worship that focus on that land.

  4. The 'Palestinians' are not a "nation of people". They are simply Arabs who happened to be in Palestine when Israel was founded. They were hostile to the Jews so joined the side of the attacking Arab armies. You make your choices then you have to deal with the consequences...🙄
