Comments by "Sandy Tatham" (@sandytatham3592) on "Daniel Levy criticises US plan for seaport in Gaza as ‘pathetic’" video.
The aid trucks are stacked up INSIDE the Gaza border where Hamas try to hijack them. The seaport might have a better chance of getting the aid to those non-combatants who desperately need it. It might also fail due to Hamas/UNRWA meddling...🙄

@massimilianobergamaschi7434 : There's plenty of video evidence and reports from people inside Gaza that the problem is Hamas and other looters. The trucks can't move inside Gaza because drivers get attacked. The seaport might make distribution easier, but my guess is that the US has other longer-term plans for the seaport as well.

@LickyTee : I doubt that the Israeli protesters are achieving much at all. They are letting off steam and dancing and causing a disturbance, but the Israeli border guards and police are dealing with them. The real holdup is inside Gaza because it's so difficult to get the aid to the Gazan people who really need it in a fair and efficient way. Israel is now using private contractors and different entry points and other methods to try to ensure that the Hamas jihadists and black-marketeers don't end up with it all.

@massimilianobergamaschi7434 : You know that Gaza is 60% destroyed so vehicles being able to get to the right places INSIDE Gaza is difficult. The trucks are banked up INSIDE Gaza, and they mostly deliver at night so as to avoid the mobs or UNRWA-Hamas workers.

@sophiesmart4394 : I see the videos on Twitter and other social media platforms. They are from "citizen journalists". I don't keep a record of them, sorry.

@arturferrao7353 : I see the videos on Twitter and other social media platforms, plus I get some personal communications from people in Gaza. They are all "citizen journalists" and I don't keep a record of them, sorry. There are huge difficulties in getting the aid to the non-combatants due to the destruction of Gaza and the overall control of agencies by Hamas-UNWRA. Israel now appears to be organising the distribution of aid through the powerful clan leaders who live in Gaza. Hopefully this will prove more efficient because relying on the UN agencies is hopeless.

Maybe that would be better than for the Egyptian border officials to charge $10,000 per head to allow Gaza people to leave the war zone through Sinai? It's inhumane to keep people TRAPPED in a war zone.

This is an attempt to cut out Qatar, Hamas, and the corrupt Egyptian border officials. The US seaport will have a better chance of getting aid directly to the non-combatants in the war zone, rather than it being hijacked by Hamas jihadists and sold on the black market.

Hamas had a chance to sign contracts to develop the gas fields, but they chose terrorism instead. The people of Gaza deserve better than Hamas.
