Any time I have an urge to supply my own parts, I always ask the mechanic(s) about it BEFORE I have them accept the job. If they "No" and their reasoning is sound, I agree with them. If they "Yes, but no warranty at all" I think about it and make an informed decision. Pretty much the only times I have brought my own parts were when the ONLY source was junkyard or eBay parts, and I didn't want to pay for the shop's time to search out and order or pick up the parts. - Then there was the time I worked at an equipment rental shop next to a tire shop, and took off my own wheels at work, then rolled them over to the tire place for new tires and wheel balancing, then put them back on the car myself.

@Wishes890 Why? 1) they did not have available bay space for a few days, also being a collision repair shop. 2) I saved paying them to put my car up on a lift and taking the wheels off themselves. 3) I DID have the space and tools available to remove the wheels. But not knowing those things, you question was quite reasonable.
