  2. Perhaps you have opened them too far? Ray seems to only open the bleeders to the point of dripping, not even a full turn.

  3. Not enough torque, and the lug nuts could self-loosen, opening the garage to legal liability. Too much torque, and the shop may be required to replace the lug nuts and studs when either the studs break, or the tire cannot be removed without extreme measures. - For this specific vehicle, the safest thing would have been to leave the wheels off entirely, though the damage to the floor and parking lot would be harsh.
