I draw upon China's long history. Throughout it's 5,000 years of history, China did not colonize overseas countries, unlike 18th century Britain, so why do you assume China will follow in Britain's footsteps? There are periods in history where China's naval power was arguably the most advanced in the world. For example, between 1405 and 1433, the Chinese Admiral Zheng He led seven voyages throughout the India Ocean, visiting Africa, India and the Middle East. Zheng He led an armada of over 300 vessels with some ships being 5-7 times larger than Columbus' Santa Maria flagship.
Yet Zheng He's mission was about peaceful trade with other countries, not one of conquest like the Western colonial powers that came later. As a result, China had never founded any overseas colony, so why do you think China is about to start now?
