Been making the same points for years. Hindu-dominated modern India was born of British rule. Don't forget the outlawing of Thugee as well. Perhaps more important, numerically, than Sutee outlawing.

Thank you for your knowledge and passion. Sadly, Britain needs those missionaries now...we have lost out way, partly because we have lost our history.

Me too. When coming makes little difference, how we spend our money matters more. We lend our support by spending wisely.

@EagerChurros-bm7du please, I mean no disrespect. No doubt that Sardar Vallabhbhai was a great leader for India. My comment merely pointed out that he was only able to be a leader of an Indian government because the rule of the current Indian landmass had already been coordinated by Britain as a mixture of direct rule and suzerainty of princely provinces. It was that unified nation that he help take back. Britain welcomes a strong and independent India, a truly democratic rival to China in the coming century.
