I think he was being slightly complimentary about her looks...he was basically saying that she is worth approaching in a bar to have a chat....but within 3 sentences of her opinion, no matter how presentable she appears....he just couldn't envisage having sex with her...not even Helen of Troy was that beautiful...sadly for Ava, her opinions melt wood.
